Welcome to Mother Aura's Home

Hello to all you Mothers, Fathers, Parents and Caregivers out there,

This is a new blog opening discussion about our daily lives and struggles that we encounter.   I just want to say that many people in our communities are struggling  right now and we can all be supportive even by just giving a smile to someone in the grocery store who may be having a hard time. Something a little more expensive would be to give to a charity. Please donate some, even if its just a little,  of your canned goods to your shelters, food drives and needy programs this season, even some will be helpful....just think of it as good karma! We can all volunteer at our kid's schools once in a while and it not only helps our children but our community, as well. Also, try to find out where your local senior center is and maybe you can donate some time this holiday season. Habitat for Humanity is another cause that could use some help this holiday season, maybe you could play a part in getting a house ready for a family in your community. You can even contact your local hospice businesses and see if you can volunteer in some way. Many families who are full time caregivers need time off. Even a little time to any of these worthwhile causes can help us all. Let me count the ways...as mentioned earlier, good karma, a cheap way to spend Thanksgiving or Christmas instead of buying more stuff, maybe a networking opportunity may arise, maybe you can help someone who needs even more help than you.  The possibilities are endless!!!
